Empowering Philanthropy Infrastructure for Change
This initiative aims to strengthen strengthen and grow philanthropic infrastructure across Europe to encourage more philanthropic giving for civil society.
Empowering Philanthropy Infrastructure for Change (EPIC) aims to empower Philanthropy Infrastructure Organisations (PIO) with the necessary skills, knowledge and tools to build and further strengthen philanthropic ecosystems in their countries, and advocate for an enabling environment, fundamental rights and EU values. The end beneficiaries of this work is civil society across Europe and beyond – which is widely supported by PIOs through the work of their members.
Our work through EPIC includes capacity-building seminars, advocacy trainings, in-depth research and strategic communications that seek to:
- Build Networks: By supporting the establishment and growth of new PIOs in the CEE region thus increasing the impact of philanthropic funding around fundamental rights
- Build Knowledge: By developing and disseminating robust data, evidence and analysis to better inform strategies
- Build Capacity: So PIOs can better contribute to the development & implementation of EU policies in promoting & protecting fundamental rights
- Build Connections: By connecting the local, regional and European philanthropy sector to key partners and decision makers
- Raise Awareness: By giving visibility to the value and role of philanthropy in defending fundamental rights and upholding union values.
