Programme Manager – Democracy Collaborations
Biography
Sveatoslav Beglița is Programme Manager for Democracy Collaborations at Philea, where he fosters collaboration, learning, and collective action among philanthropic organisations and partners working to strengthen democracy across Europe.
Sveatoslav has nearly a decade of experience in democracy support, civic participation, youth engagement, and international cooperation. Before joining Philea, he worked with organisations including the European Endowment for Democracy and the International Republican Institute, supporting democratic development, political participation, and civil society initiatives across Europe and beyond. He holds an academic background in international relations and political science.
A certified facilitator, Sveatoslav has designed and delivered training programmes on public speaking, training of trainers, leadership, and capacity-building for civil society organisations, engaging more than 2,000 participants across Europe and beyond. Beyond his professional role, he is actively involved in the European Forum Alpbach through its Belgian Club. He believes that democracy is shaped by all of society, not only by policymakers and institutions, and is driven by a commitment to creating spaces where collaboration, participation, and shared learning can strengthen democratic resilience.
