Philanthropy Advocacy to present sector views at the EESC public hearings
Next week, Philanthropy Advocacy (joint Dafne and EFC initiative) will be represented by Hanna Surmatz at two EESC public hearings.
On Monday 6 September, Hanna Surmatz, Philanthropy Advocacy co-lead, will represent the views of the EESC Liaison Group. Under the heading “Towards the European Semester 2022 – Implementing the National Recovery and Resilience Plans”, panelists will take stock of the implementation of the NRRP and consider recommendations for the upcoming 2022 European Semester cycle.
At the second hearing on Friday 10 September, Hanna Surmatz has been invited to speak about the barriers to cross-border philanthropy on behalf of Philanthropy Advocacy. This event titled “European Civil Society: Time for a European Statute for Associations?” features policymakers, civil society representatives and academics alike. It will dive into a conversation on the need and content of a potential statute for European Associations.
