DK2020 Climate Initiative – Cities of Tomorrow

The DK2020 project is an easily replicable model for municipalities of all sizes to develop ambitious climate action plans through a facilitated peer-learning process. It is based on the Climate Action Planning Framework (CAPF) created by the C40 cities network and adapted to the Danish context. It has successfully engaged Danish municipalities, who have politically committed to develop, approve and implement climate action plans in full compliance with the Paris Agreement ambitions.

A New Social Contract – The Gulbenkian Foundation advancing intergenerational fairness

Fair policy and distribution of resources for all generations is an issue of concern for both policymakers and the public. Yet policy is always rooted in the present moment. The rights of young people and future generations are not always the highest priority. But current crises and uncertainties require a long-term view to ensure sustainability, societal well- being and fair opportunities for all. There is need for a more holistic approach to address the interests of both today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
