Kone Foundation awards approx. €3 million to multidisciplinary cooperation in research and arts
The Kone Foundation has awarded almost €3 million to four organisations working on multidisciplinary cooperation in the fields of academic research and art.
The grants are aimed at promoting the grantees’ ability to continue operating in a society that needs more intersectoral discourse and include the foundation’s largest individual grant ever totalling €1.8 million across four years to BIOS, an environmental research unit, which promotes interaction between academic research and decision-making.
The other grantees include the Doctor of Arts programme at the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, IHME Helsinki, a contemporary arts organisation and the performing arts organisation Mad House.
