International Philanthropy Commitment on Climate Change launched by WINGS
The International Philanthropy Commitment on Climate Change is a new initiative by WINGS calling on all foundations, regardless of mission, status or geographic location, to come together and signal their commitment towards climate action.
The growing climate emergency presents a serious risk to the pursuit of philanthropic aims everywhere and in every area. The Commitment calls on the philanthropic sector to play a role in addressing the climate emergency and for foundations to integrate climate consideration into all parts of their operations and programmatic areas.
Hosted by WINGS, the international commitment runs in parallel to national commitments started in France, Spain and the UK, and a European Philanthropy Coalition for Climate organised by Dafne.
