Philanthropy and COP29: Opportunities for Engagement and Impact
WINGS and Philea’s European Philanthropy Coalition for Climate will co-host a webinar “Philanthropy and COP29: Opportunities for Engagement and Impact” on 17 October.
COP29 will be a pivotal moment for climate finance, marking the first global discussions in 15 years to set a new climate finance target. The conference will also address other key issues for philanthropy, including adaptation, loss and damage, and equity in climate action.
This webinar will delve into these critical topics and their implications for the philanthropic sector. Additionally, we will engage in an interactive mapping exercise to explore the sector’s priorities and approaches during and around COP29, aiming to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among various philanthropic actors.
