Philanthropic Leadership Platform: China-Europe 2023
The Philanthropic Leadership Platform: China-Europe 2023 edition will take place on 17-23 September in Brussels.
Created in partnership with Stiftung Mercator and the China Foundation Forum, the Philanthropic Leadership Platform: China-Europe is an intensive, peer-led leadership development programme that brings together 20 philanthropy professionals from China and Europe for a period of 8 days to enhance their leadership skills by sharing their knowledge, experience, creativity and concerns with each other.
The programme has two main goals:
- to equip philanthropy leaders with new thinking and tools to become more impactful in their work; engage with emerging trends in the sector and practice-based conversations. The programme is a blend of learning from thought leaders and cutting-edge practitioners, as well as learning from peer practice through case studies and focused peer-to-peer exchanges.
- to better understand how European and Chinese philanthropies look at the key global challenges (getting to net zero; harnessing digitalization; reforming the economy and markets to better serve people and planet) their theories of change and practice. The PLP China-Europe is a programme for all leading European and Chinese foundations that aspire to better grasp how foundations in each geography practice philanthropy to catalyse positive change in a multipolar world.
