PEXfest 2026: Nurturing Collective Possibilities
PEXfest 2026 “Nurturing Collective Possibilities” will take place on 4-6 March in Bucharest, in partnership with the Romanian-American Foundation.
Amidst major turbulence, we can sense a new world rising, led by people and communities who act with curiosity, creativity and care. They notice assets, pool resources, activate opportunities, and respond to local needs. Collaborative funds, community foundations, and other groups are creating practical solutions and new forms of collaboration. Across Europe and beyond, people are showing what change from the ground up can look like.
These efforts are emerging at a time when the current systems no longer meet people’s needs. Are our current democratic tools enough? How can we support new stories about the future, ones built around connection, courage, and shared responsibility? And what skills do we need to help this change grow?
Would you like to explore these questions and discover what’s possible when we work together? PEXfest will bring together 100 practitioners who are shaping the connective tissue of the philanthropic landscape. We will examine how philanthropy infrastructure can be catalytic, we will embody and advance new narratives for philanthropy, and elevate systems practice across the field.
