Organisational Development Community of Practice – Supporting Partners’ Response and Adaptation in Funding Crises

The Organisational Development Community of Practice will explore “Supporting Partners’ Response and Adaptation in Funding Crises” online on 6 March, the first webinar in a new series on “Building Resilience in Times of Crisis”.
Recent events and the USAID funding freeze have highlighted how unprepared we are when a crisis strikes. Partners suddenly lose resources they depend on and the issues they address are quickly labelled as controversial, placing them at risk of backlash. This situation raises critical questions.
What immediate steps can funders take to help grantees stabilise? How can OD strategies promote financial resilience and crisis preparedness? How do locally led approaches enhance adaptation, and what shifts in funder-grantee dynamics are needed to support this? This session will explore how to support partners in responding to funding crises while ensuring they can adapt effectively to shifting political and economic conditions.
This webinar series will not be only a space to exchange immediate responses but also think critically about how to reshape funding and support structures in ways that centre local leadership, foster long-term sustainability and challenge existing power imbalances in the philanthropic ecosystem.
