Legal Affairs Committee – An Enabling Environment for Philanthropy

The Legal Affairs Committee will host “An Enabling Environment for Philanthropy” on 3 March in Brussels.

Taking place alongside the European Economic and Social Committee’s Civil Society Week 2026, the session will offer a space for members of the community to review national and European policy developments that impact on philanthropy space as well as responses to this.

Attendees are also invited to join two session’s co-organised by Philea at the EESC Civil Society Week, “Building an enabling environment for democratic resilience” on 4 March and “Funding civil space: the role of the EU and other donors” on 5 March.

This event is part of Empowering Philanthropy Infrastructure for Change (EPIC), a project co-funded by the European Union.
