Futures Philanthropy – Gathering of Leaders – Horizons of Hope: Navigating Challenges, Reimagining Philanthropy in a New Key
Futures Philanthropy will host its next Gathering of Leaders “Horizons of Hope: Navigating Challenges, Reimagining Philanthropy in a New Key” on 4-7 April in Turin, co-hosted by Compagnia di San Paolo and the Together Foundation.
The world is changing, and so is philanthropy. The Futures Philanthropy initiative is an invitation to think about tomorrow, today, and embark on a pathway towards regenerative societies. The event will delve into Europe’s challenges and explore new dimensions of philanthropy, and against the backdrop of climate and democracy crises, reflect on the past, look forward to future scenarios and emerging opportunities, all the while redefining the role of philanthropy as an ecosystem catalyst.
The event will aim to:
- reflect on how we can learn from the past and prepare for (dire) future scenarios, while focusing on emerging opportunities and what role philanthropy can play in the future as an ecosystem catalyst
- be explicit in what the challenges of today and tomorrow mean for philanthropic decision-making and governance models
- create space for alignment and commitment to collective action
The event will prioritise building trust and fostering deep relationships, recognising the unique knowledge and experiences of each participant. The focus spans both the ‘what’ and ‘how’, sharing ideas and proposals and ensuring everyone follows at their own pace.
