The Funders International Network for Development will host “European Philanthropy at a Crossroads: What A Changing World Asks of Us” in Cap Roig on 5-6 October.
As traditional aid models are being reshaped by geopolitical shifts, new financing mechanisms, accelerating technological change, and growing demands for locally-led development, European foundations face important choices about how they fund, partner, and exercise influence.
The 2026 edition of FIND’s annual gathering will bring together leading foundations, EU institutions, and development partners to explore what this changing landscape means for philanthropy’s role in creating inclusive economies, strengthening health and democratic resilience, and advancing sustainable development. Building on network’s recent transition from dialogue to collective action, the meeting will offer a unique opportunity to share lessons from practice, challenge assumptions, and shape the next chapter of collaborative philanthropy in Europe and beyond.
