The EFC Children’s Thematic Network Autumn Meeting 2020 will take place online on 26-27 November, offering an opportunity for peer-learning and sharing for members of the network on a number of issues of common interest and a chance to strengthen relationships with peers from the sector.

Young people are the foundation of our tomorrow, and while they may be less affected by the COVID pandemic when it comes to their heath, it is severely disrupting their education, and rights to participate in the discussions that will shape their futures. Do we need to find new ways of teaching, is online learning effective? What are the big threats to children’s education and development? Are we able to imagine new spaces for education that are both green and sustainable?

This meeting will look at how children’s education has been affected by the COVID crisis and what alternative solutions can be found in how we educate our children and curate their learning.
