Data Science and AI Group – Data Tools and Architecture in Philanthropic Foundations

The Data Science and AI Group will host a webinar “Data Tools and Architecture in Philanthropic Foundations” on 15 April, to explore practical examples of AI usage in foundations.

From grant reports and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to outcomes and impact, the data architecture of philanthropic foundations is complex and varied, often involving many heterogeneous endpoints.

In this session, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) will outline how they design and operationalise integrated data pipelines that bring together systems such as Fluxx, Microsoft Business Central (Finance), CERTIFY (Expense), Kallidus (HR), and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This session will offer a practical look at what it takes to setup and run an internal data warehouse, using Microsoft services such as Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Microsoft Power BI/Fabric and Microsoft CoPilot, and explore how these tools sit within existing data architecture.
