Data Science and AI Group – Data Tools and Architecture in Philanthropic Foundations

The Data Science and AI Group will host a webinar “Data Tools and Architecture in Philanthropic Foundations” on 15 April, to explore practical examples of AI usage in foundations.
From grant reports and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to outcomes and impact, the data architecture of philanthropic foundations is complex and varied, often involving many heterogeneous endpoints.
In this session, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) will outline how they manage their internal data architecture, illustrate how data pipelines work in practice and how they handle different data types using tools such as Fluxx, Microsoft Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric. This session will offer a practical look at what it takes to setup and run an internal data warehouse, using Microsoft services such as Microsoft Data Factory, Microsoft CoPilot or Microsoft Fabric, and explore how these tools sit within existing data architecture.
