DAFNE webinar in cooperation with ACF (UK): ‘Stronger foundations – An initiative to develop excellence’

DAFNE in cooperation with the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) organises the joint webinar ‘Stronger Foundations – An initiative to develop excellence’ that takes place on Tuesday, 2 April 2019, from 14:00 to 15:00 (CET). Please feel free to circulate this invitation within your network. Please register here for the webinar.

Stronger Foundations is a flagship project of the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) in the UK, which aims to help grant-making charitable foundations identify and pursue excellent practice.  Through a process of engagement around a set of six themes it helps foundations be ambitious, effective and expert.

The initiative, launched last year, is well underway and involves over 120 foundation members in facilitated discussion in a variety of formats around challenging questions about foundation practice related to each theme. Intended to be provocative, the initiative has attracted great interest, and stimulated much debate, as evidenced by the outputs to date. This webinar will describe the rationale for Stronger Foundations, the process and the impact.

Who should participate?

This will be of value to staff and board members of support organisations and foundations interested in enhancing ambitions and charting routes to excellence through developing their own approach to collective learning.

Our speakers:

Max Rutherford is Head of Policy at ACF providing strategic insight and support to members as well as representing the foundation sector. His work helps create an enabling policy and regulatory environment, in which funders will most effectively achieve their missions.

Juliana Bell manages the Migration Foundation, a UK charitable fund whose vision is to make migration work for the whole community by creating places free from destitution and division. She is participating in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group of the Stronger Foundations Initiative.

The webinar will be moderated by Hanna Stähle, DAFNE.
