Call for SDG Acceleration Actions
The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) has issued a call asking for organisations worldwide to register their SDG Acceleration Actions.
SDG Acceleration Actions are voluntary initiatives undertaken to contribute towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda ahead of schedule. The President of the General Assembly has encouraged all governments, businesses, civil society organisations, academic institutions, philanthropic organisations and other groups to launch ambitious, actions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, ahead of the 2030 Agenda, and the registry serves as a central repository of these actions.
These voluntary SDG Acceleration Actions will be made public on an online database organised by the UN DESA, with some featured on the UN’s online and social media platforms.
