Winners of the 37th Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition announced
The winners of the 37th Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition, which brought together cartoons and cartoonists from all over the world, have been announced.
The Competition, one of the preeminent contests in the cartoon world, received approximately 4,500 applications from 930 artists based in 83 countries this year. The Selection Committee awarded Reynerio Tamayo, Cuba first prize, with second going to Mahmood Nazari, Iran and third to Mojtaba Heidarpanah, Iran.
Ömer Çam received the special “Empowered Girls, Empowered Futures” Award of the Aydın Doğan Foundation, which seeks to draw focus upon the education, and empowerment of girls all over the world.
