UK foundations launch joint funder statement on COVID-19
A group of UK foundations and funders have launched a joint statement committing themselves to the continued support of all the organisations they fund as they deal with the effects of COVID-19.
The statement, written by the London Funders network, sets forth 4 key commitments, to adapt activities, discuss dates, financial flexibility and listen to grantees, that all the signatories will uphold as the UK deals with the exceptional circumstances caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The statement has been signed by funders across London and the wider UK, with approximately 149 organisations having put their names to the statement at the time of writing. These organisations include a number of EFC members; the Barrow Cadbury Trust, City Bridge Trust, Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Trust for London.
