Romanian Federation for Community Foundations

FFCR’s vision is to develop a strong network of Community Foundations that contribute to transforming every community into a welcoming “home” by supporting local philanthropy and civic initiatives. The organization’s mission is to be the network that creates sustainable, active, and inclusive communities through national programs, expertise, strategic partnerships, and collaborative leadership. The Federation promotes strategic philanthropy, cross-sector collaboration (public, private, civil society), social responsibility, and civic engagement, aiming to support individuals and organizations that invest in the development of their own communities. FFCR’s actions are guided by the values of Togetherness, Trust, and Foresight and Leadership.

Strategic objectives of FFCR include:

• Strengthening organizational capacity through developing the skills of the executive team, reinforcing strategic leadership, digitalization, financial sustainability, and implementing an internal performance management system
• Developing a visible and coherent brand for the network by consolidating the visual and narrative identity of the community foundation movement, increasing online and media presence, promoting collective impact, and positioning the Federation as a strategic voice in the civil society sector
• Supporting the Community Foundations network to generate impact through capacity-building programs and platforms, promoting evidence-based practices, annual mapping of network needs, expanding geographical coverage in counties not yet reached, and promoting good governance
• Developing strategic relationships for sustainability by attracting funds, increasing the share of flexible revenues, establishing clear criteria for partnership selection, and implementing a stakeholder engagement plan beyond the network.
• Facilitate and create contexts of transfer know-how and best practices- Fundraising, design, develop and coordinate national programs fulfilling the role of capacity building and grant maker for our members – increase awareness regarding the impact of community foundations’ impact- contribute to the good governance of the CFs through several mechanism( eg FFCR standards)
