Futures School: Leadership Journey: call for applications now open
Following a successful pilot year, Philea’s Futures School: Leadership Journey is entering its second edition, continuing to strengthen futures thinking and leadership capacity across the philanthropy sector. Applications can be submitted for review until 8 June 2026.
The Futures School; Leadership Journey is a 9-month long curated leadership journey for senior philanthropic leaders shaping strategy and direction who are ready to engage in high-level exchange, challenge and learning.
Participants will attend two immersive, experience-based convenings complemented by peer-led exchanges and curated online sessions:
- 5 – 8 October 2026 | Tilal Utique, Tunisia in partnership with the Kamel Lazaar Foundation
- 6 – 8 April 2027 | Copenhagen, Denmark in partnership with the SOON Futures Lab and the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies
- Invitation to Futures Philanthropy Dialogue Walks ahead of the Philea Forum 2027
Over the course of the leadership journey, participants will:
- Engage with a small, carefully curated group of senior leaders whose thinking will challenge and expand their own
- Learn foresight fundamentals applied to philanthropic contexts and explore alternative futures to inform their organisation’s vision
- Explore how anticipation and imagination can inform real strategic choices
- Bring leadership dilemmas into the room – and leave with sharper judgement, not predefined answers
- Experience a depth of conversation and trust that is rarely possible in day-to-day leadership contexts
- Reframe uncertainty – not as something to resolve, but as something to work with.
