Funders International Network for Development launches international cooperation peer-learning journey

The Funders International Network for Development (FIND) is launching a new peer-learning journey “Evolving Practices of International Cooperation” dedicated to reimagining traditional philanthropic models and exploring new forms of international cooperation tailored for the 21st century.

The two-year peer learning programme is composed of a series of interactive webinars and in-person collaborative meetings, that are participant-led and will invite participants to engage with speakers, openly share and reflect on their work and develop stronger, meaningful bonds between funding organisations.

“Young people are the architects of our shared future. By placing them at the heart of our programmes, partnerships and collaborations, we invest in their potential to drive transformative change.” – Michael Mapstone, Anglo American Foundation

The peer-learning programme is built around ongoing co-creation with participants, featuring numerous moments and formats to share experiences, receive feedback, and work through new, experimental approaches with a community of peers.

The peer-learning programme will have an initial focus on international cooperation in Africa, with further opportunities to shape or specify the programme’s content over the course of the two years.

“There is an urgent need for global cooperation between Foundations and philanthropic organisations to tackle key challenges for future generations. This is why it is crucial for members of FIND to share experiences, practices and methodologies, explore potential channels for EU policy dialogue and work on new trends to invest on international cooperation”. – HRH the Infanta Cristina, “la Caixa” Foundation

Foundation representatives at all stages of international engagement are encouraged to participate. Full participation in all the webinars and in-person events is recommended to maximise the learning experience.

The peer-learning programme is co-designed with New Silk Roads, a consultancy operating from Cairo, Tunis, and Amsterdam.

Registrations for the first session are open.
