Philea and Civil Society Europe are hosting a webinar exploring “New EU anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing policy and its impact on activity of foundations and associations” on 6 June.

Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Legislation often has unintended consequences on the activities of associations and foundations. The current negotiations on the new EU AML/CFT package offer an occasion to address these unintended consequences.

The webinar will feature a presentation of the EU package by the European Commission, of concrete examples of unintended consequences by civil society representatives active in different EU Member states, and a discussion between policymakers and civil society.
