Visionary Leadership 2026
Philea will host the “Visionary Leadership 2026” on 24-26 November in Windsor, bringing together foundation Board Chairs and CEOs to create a common space for inspiration and connection.
The challenges facing philanthropy today are larger than any individual foundation and increasingly call for collective reflection, learning and action. In a rapidly changing and uncertain context, the relationship between Board Chairs and CEOs is more important than ever: together, they shape organisational direction, governance, culture and decision-making, while helping their foundations remain resilient, accountable and forward-looking.
Building on a successful first edition, the Visionary Leadership Retreat 2026 will offer Foundation Chairs and CEOs a confidential peer space to reflect on the evolving political and societal context, explore the changing political and societal context, including; democratic backsliding; the rise of AI and the role of Europe in the world, with a focus on short and long-term implications for philanthropy, and the role foundation leadership can play.
Open only to Philea members, the retreat will bring together up to 12 Chair–CEO pairs in an intimate setting, providing inspiring and thought provoking sessions, Chair-only and CEO-only exchanges, joint opportunities for peer learning, facilitated by a former foundation CEO with extensive experience in coaching and moderating high-level engagements.
