Thousand Currents Academy

The first Thousand Currents Academy outside of the US will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, focused on internationalism and global solidarity.

Through visits with movement communities, Indigenous-led pedagogy, political education and dialogue with leaders of the largest social movement in Brazil, the Academy offers a unique opportunity to:

• Learn how to partner with global grassroots groups and movement formations with solidarity, mutual trust, learning and accountability.
• Engage directly with movements that are challenging existing systems, shaping transformative change and building just futures for us all.

The Academy is designed for decision-makers and team cohorts who hold the capacity to influence their organisation’s grantmaking strategies and can help foster internal commitment to change. This may include, but is not limited to, donors, program leads, donor advisors and network staff.
