Democracy Network – Strong Far-Right Parties in Western Europe: Implications for Democracy and Civil Society

The Democracy Network is hosting a webinar on “Strong Far-Right Parties in Western Europe: Implications for Democracy and Civil Society” on 24 September.

During this session, a partner organisation will present insights from a research project examining the impact of far-right parties on democracy and climate policy across Europe. The research explores these parties’ positions and influence on political debates, public institutions and democratic processes, while also analysing how civil society organisations engage with them and which approaches appear to be effective.

The project has been conducted in cooperation with stakeholders from Western Europe.

This session will provide an opportunity to:

  • Gain insights into current trends and developments related to far-right political movements in Europe
  • Explore findings on how civil society organisations are responding to these actors
  • Discuss implications for democracy-supporting philanthropy and civil society

Exchange perspectives and questions with fellow Democracy Network members
