Operations Professionals Network – The Future of Operations and AI
The Operations Professionals Network will convene in Leiden, the Netherlands from 1-3 December to explore “The Future of Operations and AI” across philanthropic operations.
The gathering will examine the future and current usage and governance of AI across five operational domains – legal, finance, grants, IT and HR – for our OPN member organisations. OPN looked at AI in June 2024 and there was broad consensus among the July meeting attendees that the use and implications of AI had developed so fundamentally that it merits examining again.
Since 2024, AI use has moved far beyond a speculative future tool to an everyday element of almost all OPN members’ working lives. Furthermore, the critical questions around AI have not only been left largely unanswered but have multiplied. OPN will share how AI is being used and why, where it’s had the most impact and what fears and questions exist for OPN’s individual members, organisations, the broader sector as well as its relationship with our strategic philanthropic goals.
