Migration and Belonging Network – Network Launch

Co-curated by Philea and European Philanthropic Initiative for Migration (EPIM), the Migration and Belonging Network will organise an online network launch on 9 December to set the framing and orientation of the new network, outline its aims for the coming years, and establish a shared language for working on migration.
Across Europe, migration intersects with climate, democracy, racial justice and social cohesion. Yet philanthropic responses often remain siloed, reactive or disconnected from broader systemic change. The Migration and Belonging Network will create space for philanthropic foundations to share experience across sectors and borders, build imaginative and relational infrastructure that links migration to broader questions of democracy and belonging, and reflect on philanthropy’s evolving role within the wider migration ecosystem.
The session introduces the network’s purpose and cadence, surfaces what a belonging lens adds to migration funding, and identifies priorities for the year ahead. With two online calls and two in-person convenings each year, the network aims to strengthen strategic alignment, peer learning and informal collaboration.
This is a funders’ only event.
