Local Power, Global Impact: Advancing Climate Resilience
Ahead of COP29, Mercy Corps will host ‘Local Power, Global Impact: Advancing Climate Resilience’ 6 November in Amsterdam to delve into the critical role of community-led initiatives, learn from effective global-local partnership and explore how global support can amplify local knowledge to ensure that climate action is sustained.
As the global climate crisis deepens, the communities least responsible are suffering the most. Now more than ever, effective partnerships are needed to finance, resource and enhance communities at the forefront to ensure long-term, sustainable and equitable climate resilience.
The event convenes policymakers, philanthropists, investors, as well as civil society and community climate leaders from around the world and is an opportunity to accelerate climate action, foster partnerships and unlock the funding necessary to support the world’s most vulnerable populations in adapting to our changing world.
