Introducing COVID-Zero coalition – How can business help eradicate the pandemic?
Cicero/AMO and the Wellcome Trust are hosting a webinar introducing the COVID-Zero coalition, a global initiative working to stop the COVID-19 pandemic by funding critical research into vaccines, treatments and testing.
The session will introduce experts from Wellcome to discuss the global research effort they are leading alongside partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, and CEPI, the epidemic vaccine development fund.
Contributors will review the progress of current vaccine trials and potential treatments, and the steps that businesses can take to support this vital work through donations and advocacy. Businesses and corporate foundations have already contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to this research, helping to close an initial $8 billion funding gap. Another $2bn still needs to be raised.
Places for this call are limited, so please register for the session here.
