Funders’ Forum on International Cooperation

The Funders’ Forum on International Cooperation (FFIC) will meet for the first time on 30-31 March at Philanthropy House with the aim of gathering together foundations with an interest in the topic of International Cooperation to deepen thinking around the future vision and scope of the funders collaborative.

The need to cooperate globally in tackling key challenges has become even more obvious in the context of recent global crises. After a steady decline in extreme poverty rates over the past two decades, inequalities between countries have been on the rise again due to Covid-19. Foundations and philanthropic organisations are stepping up in various ways to support the most at risk communities around the world and over the past years, Philea members have expressed their ambition to increase their international efforts, in many cases due to the widening gap between countries.

In this context, Philea wishes to respond to the growing need and desire of members to work together, share knowledge and explore innovations in the field of international cooperation.
