The European Philanthropy Coalition for Climate and WINGS will host “Getting Started on Your Climate Journey: Approaching Climate Through a Systems Lens”, a webinar on 27 May to help build climate capabilities across the philanthropy ecosystem.
Climate change is a systemic challenge, and it demands systemic responses. But complexity doesn’t have to be a barrier. This webinar offers philanthropy practitioners a practical, accessible entry point into applying a systems lens to their climate work, with tools and methods you can adapt to your own context and insights from foundations already putting this into practice. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to deepen your commitment, there are many different roles to play. Many of the capabilities and assets foundations already have is exactly what’s needed. It’s often a question of shifting the how.
This is the second webinar in a learning series designed to support foundations and philanthropy infrastructure organisations looking to get started on their climate journeys, through the framework of Philanthropy For Climate. Together, we’ll explore how funders can collaborate more effectively, how shifting decision-making to grantee partners creates space for real responsiveness, and how your organisation (through grantmaking, operations and investment) can be part of a collective effort.
