Democracy Network – Deep Scenario Planning for European Democracy

The Democracy Network will host “Deep Scenario Planning for European Democracy”, the next Democracy Funders Coffee online on 25 March, continuing the conversation launched in the previous session on the potential of a deep scenario planning exercise on the future of European democracy and the role of philanthropy.
At a time of growing political uncertainty and democratic strain across Europe, the future of European democracy is increasingly marked by pressure and competing trajectories. This discussion will explore how funders can use scenario planning to think beyond immediate pressures, better understand possible futures and strengthen their preparedness for the years ahead. The conversation will build on a proposal introduced by Joe Elborn, Evens Foundation and will feature the European Policy Centre (EPC).
To help funders connect, share learnings and align strategies, the Democracy Network launched the Democracy Funders Coffees as informal conversations to better understand how philanthropy can defend and strengthen European democracy together.
This event is open only to Philea members and non-member foundations supporting democracy.
