Decoding COP31: What Matters for Philanthropy

Philea, TUSEV and WINGS are co-hosting “Decoding COP31: What Matters for Philanthropy” on 17 September, a webinar which aims to support informed and strategic philanthropic engagement before, during and after COP31.
Framed as a “COP of implementation,” COP31 will test whether the commitments made at Belém; the New Collective Quantified Goal and Baku-to-Belém Roadmap, the Global Goal on Adaptation indicators, the Belém Gender Action Plan, and the new Just Transition mechanism, can translate into deployable capital and delivery on the ground. Philanthropy is a strategic partner for the implementation agenda, bridging policy with communities, funding innovation, derisking public and private finance and more.
This webinar will help philanthropy engage more strategically around COP31, making sense of the dual-track presidency, unpacking the policy areas most likely to take centre stage in Türkiye and exploring what the outcomes could mean for philanthropic strategies. This session will also provide direct, practical guidance from the UNFCCC on what to expect in Antalya.
