Data Science Group – Placing Data at the Heart of a Foundation

The Data Science Group will organise “Placing Data at the Heart of a Foundation” online on 19 October, exploring the path to placing data at the heart of the functioning of a foundation.

Data science is increasingly becoming a crucial practice for numerous foundations across Europe. However, many foundations are unsure about how to initiate their transformation into data-driven organisations and embarking on the path to placing data at the heart of the functioning of a foundation is a significant undertaking. To learn more about the “how”, it is imperative to draw insights from peer organisations that have already undertaken this journey.

The session will offer the opportunity to learn from the Novo Nordisk Foundation about their experience in implementing a data-driven approach within their organisation and will see Thomas Alslev Christensen, Senior Vice President, and Rasmus Lund Jensen, Head of Data, Senior Impact Lead, Novo Nordisk Foundation explain the foundation’s journey to becoming truly data-driven. There will also be a demonstration of some of the dashboards have developed using Power BI and the event will provide data scientists and enthusiasts from across the philanthropic sector an opportunity to learn and share valuable insights directly with their peers.
