Building Infrastructure for Trust and Solidarity in Central and Eastern Europe

Philea will organise “Building Infrastructure for Trust and Solidarity in Central and Eastern Europe” in Chișinău on 14 October, hosted by ARC Romania.

Across the region, organisations, networks, platforms, initiatives and support structures help philanthropy, giving, generosity and civic action grow and thrive. While shaped by different histories, contexts and challenges, these efforts have given rise to a rich and distinctive ecosystem of practice, expertise and relationships.

This gathering is an opportunity to explore what makes philanthropy infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe distinctive. What can philanthropy infrastructure organisations learn from one another? What can the wider European field learn from a region that has continually adapted, innovated and sustained civic action under pressure?

Taking place back-to-back with KoneKtor 2026, this event will bring together people and organisations that help enable, mobilise, distribute and steward resources for the public good across the region. Together, participants will get to know who is in the ecosystem and what they bring to it, explore common challenges, and reflect on how we can strengthen connections and collaboration moving forward.

This will be an informal and exploratory space for a diverse community of infrastructure builders to connect, learn from one another and better understand the ecosystem.

Registrations for Konektor 2026 are separate.
