Annual Conference on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2020
The Annual Conference on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2020 will take place online on 21-23 October exploring “Access to Justice”.
The online conference will address the barriers that persons with disabilities still face when accessing justice in practice, in particular persons deprived of their legal capacity and obliged to act through an appointed legal guardian. It will provide a forum for discussion of the challenges involved in the application of key notions of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, relevant EU law and the European Convention of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as of best practice in the field.

The conference is being organised by the Academy of European Law in cooperation with the EFC’s Disability Thematic Network and the European Disability Forum.
