European Economic and Social Committee launch EESC Civil Solidarity Prize
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has launched the Civil Solidarity Prize, a one-off edition replacing the annual EESC Civil Society Prize, to recognise initiatives seeking to tackle the COVID-19 crisis and its manifold consequences.
The overall objective of the prize is increase awareness and visibility of the contributions that individuals, civil society organisations and private companies have made in forging a European identity and solidarity in a way that underpins the common values that are the foundation of European integration.
The EESC will award up to 29 prizes, worth €10,000 each.
The deadline for entries is 30 September 2020.
