Mission:
DanChurchAid is one of Denmark’s oldest and largest NGO’s and works primarily with development and humanitarian assistance projects targeting communities in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. These projects led to the organisation distributing more than 77 million € in 2017.
In spite of its name, DanChurchAid is an independent organisation whose work is inspired by Christian Lutheran values and sources it income from a mixture of private and public donors, both Danish and international.
Mission:
The Belgian branch of UNICEF, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, shares the same 7 key values and priorities as the main organisation, focusing upon health, HIV / AIDS and children, a healthy and safe environment, food, education, protection and equal opportunities.
UNICEF België is however rather autonomous, implementing its own projects in Belgium and further afield based around their key values, and will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child this year.
