The National Council for Voluntary Organisations have published the Charity Ethical Principles
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) have recently published the Charity Ethical Principles, a supporting framework for charities to develop policies and procedures within.
The principles are positioned not as a code of conduct or set of rules to abide by but as a supporting document to “support charities, their governing bodies, and those who work and volunteer in and with them, in recognising and resolving ethical issues and conflicts, and make charities a safer place.”
The development of the principles was led by Dame Mary Marsh and supported by the NCVO and a wider advisory group representing the non-profit sector.
