The EFC has co-signed a statement in support of civil society titled ”Civil society on the frontline – 5 points for EU action” at the Annual Colloquium on Fundamental Rights in Brussels on the 26th and 27th November.
The 2 page statement urges the European institutions to commit further resources towards securing the role of civil society organisations, human rights defenders and social movements in protecting and promoting human rights. The statement lays out 5 points for EU action and was signed by over 30 civil society organisations, including a number of EFC members, in the run up to the Annual Colloquium on Fundamental Rights.
