Social Economy Europe publishes “Social Economy for the full inclusion of people with disabilities”
Social Economy Europe has published a guide “Social Economy for the full inclusion of people with disabilities” offering examples of best practices that demonstrate how social economy enterprises contribute to the social and labour integration of people with disabilities across the EU.
Covering 12 examples of best practices and recommendations on the new EU Disability Strategy post-2020 and the Action Plan for the social economy, the guide emphasises the potential to generate work opportunities for people with disabilities, and underlines that in different EU countries “social economy enterprises employ up to three times more people with disabilities than traditional enterprises”.
The guide is one of several initiatives undertaken by SEE’s Social Economy and Disability Working Group (SE&D), of which the EFC is one of a number of members.
