Villum Foundation

The VILLUM FOUNDATION is a non-profit foundation created by Villum Kann Rasmussen in 1971. The foundation is the principal shareholder of VKR Holding, the parent company of VELUX A/S and other companies in the VKR Group.

In 2022, VILLUM FONDEN granted approx. EUR 139.8 million.
VILLUM FONDEN (a part of THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS) is a philanthropic foundation that supports technical and scientific research as well as environmental, social and cultural projects in Denmark and internationally. VILLUM FONDEN strives to be a model foundation. As a model foundation they will manage the inheritance from the founder, Villum Kann Rasmussen, in such a way that his thoughts, ideas and the trust deed for the foundation will be taken into account and will contribute to and influence the future for our funding areas, for society and for the company group.
