Introducing Unitus Europe – the new European Philanthropy and Social Investing Impact Hub
The current COVID-19 emergency is clearly surfacing and dramatically intensifying the systemic gaps in our societies. In creating the Unitus Europe hub, European philanthropy and social investment networks Donors and Foundations Networks in Europe (DAFNE), European Foundation Centre (EFC), European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) and Network of European Foundations (NEF) have come together to ensure that the diverse responses to the outbreak of the pandemic are cohesive, collaborative, efficient and achieve the best possible impact for all their beneficiaries.
With a focus on trans-national and cross-border activities, the hub aims to give guidance and support to suppliers of funding, catalyse and coordinate activities, identify gaps, inspire initiatives, and accelerate supply and match demand.
We invite European actors in philanthropy and social investing, as well as global players active in Europe, to meet other private and public funders through this hub and join forces for greater impact and value for their beneficiaries and to effectively tackle the COVID-19 emergency. Our hope is for this hub to become a valuable space for sharing information, resources, and good practices to inspire other actors, gaining new insights through peer-learning and identifying opportunities on the demand and supply side.
