Former Chair of Grantmakers East Forum, Haki Abazi is appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo

A former Chair of the EFC’s Grantmakers East Forum, Haki Abazi has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and Minister of European Integration.

A long-time supporter of the EFC, Haki developed and implemented a wide range of programmes addressing critical issues in Kosovo during the transition period and played an important role in the development of the civil society in the region.

While working for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund as Programme Director for the Western Balkans he became involved in the work of the Grantmakers East Forum, eventually chairing the network and contributing towards the publication ‘’ The Shrinking Space for Civil Society’’.
