Fondation de Luxembourg approved as signatory of UN Principles for Responsible Investment
Fondation de Luxembourg has been approved as a signatory of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
As of December 2020, the foundation has been approved as a signatory of PRI, confirming an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) focused investment strategy for the organisation. The principles are recognised as a leading framework for integrating positive environmental, social and governance practices in investment strategies.
Director General, Tonika Hirdman explains the decision behind the move, that “Our founders don’t want their assets to be invested in industries or companies whose activities are contrary to the charitable causes they are supporting. In applying a rigorous sustainable investment approach, we are able to ensure that the philanthropic values of the founders remain consistent with the investments made by their foundations.”
