Joining forces for resilient, healthy and sustainable Food Systems
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research & Innovation, in cooperation with the EFC and the Fit4Food2030 project will host an interactive virtual dialogue “Joining forces for resilient, healthy and sustainable Food Systems” on 18 December.
Exploring avenues of collaboration between European Commission and philanthropic organisations to transform food systems through research & innovation, the event will seek to help shape the EU’s path towards healthy and sustainable food systems, and will be a unique opportunity for philanthropic organisations to connect with policy makers and collectively boost research and innovation in support of the new European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy.
The meeting will aim to:
- Engage philanthropic organisations in a multi-stakeholder platform in the frame of the European Commission’s Food 2030 R&I policy
- Map the activities of organisations that invest and implement projects on food systems
- Present the possibilities of collaborating with the EC through a new Horizon Europe Food Systems partnership
The meeting will be built on the results of a short online survey to help frame the discussion.
