Futures Philanthropy Gathering of Leaders

Philea, in partnership with Kamel Lazaar Foundation, Porticus and Together Foundation is hosting the third edition of the Futures Philanthropy Gathering of Leaders in Tilal Utique, Tunisia on 2-5 April 2025. The gathering will be co-designed in cooperation with African and European funders and ecosystem organisations. You can find more information about the first gathering of leaders at The Home of the Pioneers of Our Time in Spain here and the second gathering at Workation Village in Italy. This transformative event will explore the evolving role of philanthropy in shaping just and equitable futures across Europe and Africa.

The event will increase solidarity across European and African philanthropies and focus on overcoming historical barriers and creating genuine dialogue by embedding futures thinking as a mindset. We will bring visionary perspectives, apply foresight and futures thinking tools, tap into cross-continental insights and novel practices, all the while centering equity, inclusion and solidarity.

Engage with a diverse group of leaders, visionaries and changemakers to rethink established philanthropy models and co-create a roadmap for an ecosystem collaboration. Save the date and look out for the launch of registrations on 23 January 2025. A limited number of scholarships will be available.

Highlights:

  • Practical application of foresight and futures thinking: Reimagine philanthropy’s role through foresight and futures thinking tools
