EFC Research Forum Webinar – Trust in Science in Turbulent Times
The EFC Research Forum webinar “Trust in Science in Turbulent Times” will take place on 8 October, 11.00-12.30 CEST, replacing the previously scheduled Research Forum Conference 2020 that will now take place in 2021.
Science and technology are at the heart of many societal challenges, both in the present and future, but also the solutions. The COVID-19 outbreak has proven that now more than ever the relationship between science and society has profound implications upon the future of humanity and is a complex problem with many branches ranging from ethics and research integrity to education and communication.
During these turbulent times, the scientific community is demonstrating its numerous capabilities to the world and is playing a key role in the global response to COVID-19, but many challenges still lie ahead.
It is in this context that foundations can play a role to foster interaction and information-sharing. The Research Forum webinar will open up discussions on the aforementioned issue while simultaneously looking at what philanthropy can do to help, with an eye to the upcoming 2021 Research Forum Conference.
